Globally, there's almost 2 million confirmed cases and over 100 thousand confirmed deaths from the COVID 19 (Coronavirus disease 2019). Many countries have been under lockdown conditions for over a month. In the US, people are under quarantine in their homes. Under the conditions of a national emergency, the government has implemented new rules of law about how people may proceed with their lives during the crisis.
Citizens are only allowed to leave their homes for infrastructure essential job functions or to obtain essential quarantine supplies. As of the past few days, everybody everywhere is now required to wear face masks or face coverings to prevent the airborne spread of the disease. Fines and imprisonment may be imposed upon those who do not comply. Government entities have reminded us of their capacity to roll out martial law, so stock up and stay home.
The COVID-19 is a disease which causes respiratory infections. It's symptoms are difficulty breathing, fever, and cough. Some carriers of the disease have no initial symptoms. It's onset may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Preventing the spread of the disease is a matter of staying prepared and socially distanced. Wash your hands, wear a mask in public, and don't get too close to people.
Aside from toilet paper, there's plenty of great things for people to stock up on. Drinking water is a must. With canned food, always check the date and make sure you have at least a year or two before it expires. Rotate through your food by expiration date so you don't waste things. Quick oats and instant mashed potatoes are great filler foods. Instant rice and noodles too if you can buy enough. One of my personal favorites is self rising flour. It's fairly cheap and provides an easy way to make bread in an oven at any time. Simply add water and bake! No matter what you're eating, just make sure it's not out. After all, it's probably not the safest time to pay strangers to prepare food for you.
